The Farmers National Bank (306 South Cedar Street in Stockton) will host its Holiday Open House next Tuesday, December 16th, during regular business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

All Rooks County businesses are welcome to attend the Rooks County Business Awards, Business Appreciation, & Leadership Recognition event as a token of appreciation for all you do for the community. The Come-and-Go Recognition is set for Monday, December 15th, at Letha's Event Center, 211 West Mill Street in Plainville.

The menus for the Walker Senior Center for the week beginning Monday, December 8, are as follows: Monday—Taco burger with lettuce, tomato, and cheese, mixed vegetables, bun, mixed fruit. Tuesday—Ham slice, mashed potatoes and gravy, winter blend vegetables, dinner roll, cranberry fluff. Wednesday—Harvest turkey soup, brownie, crackers, fruit cobbler. Thursday—Liver and onions in gravy, mashed potatoes, winter blend vegetables, bread, pears. Friday—Waikiki meatballs, bed of rice, green beans, tropical fruit.

Monday—Sausage biscuit, sliced pears, juice, milk. Tuesday—Frudel, fresh carrots, mixed fruit, milk.

The Third Annual Cowboy Christmas Poetry Gathering at the Rooks County Historical Society and Museum's Western Kansas Reading Room will take place this Sunday, December 7th, at 2:00 p.m. This year's Gathering, sponsored by the Friends of Cottonwood Ranch, will include a host of cowboy poets, including Betty Burlingham, as well as the cowboy balladeer Zerf.
