The menus for the Senior Centers in Rooks County for the week beginning Monday, May 11, are as follows: Monday—Chef salad with ham, crackers, cookie, fruit cobbler. Tuesday—Chicken pot pie, California blend vegetables, biscuit, watermelon. Wednesday—Lasagna, Italian blend vegetables, bread, peaches.

Plainville Stockton Week of May 11 Breakfast Monday—Egg round, sausage links, cereal, mixed fruit, juice, milk. Tuesday—Yogurt, bug bites, apricots, juice, milk.

The Plainville High School Alumni Banquet will take place on Saturday, May 23rd. Please note that the deadline for making reservations is Monday, May 11th, as no payments will be accepted at the door.

The SHS Baccalaureate will be held at the historic Nova Theatre in on Wednesday, May 13th at 7:00 p.m. The community is invited to attend this event for the graduates.

The 75th annual National Day of Prayer is Thursday, May 7th. It will be observed throughout the United States, with area residents invited and encouraged to participate at the Plainville City Office at 222 East Mill Street in Plainville at 12:00 noon.

USD 270 will hold a Special Board Meeting on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 7:00 PM. The meeting will take place at 203 SE Cardinal Ave., in the USD 270 Board Conference Room. Community members are encouraged to take note of the date and location. The meeting will address important district matters.

Two new businesses a new to the Sentinel-Times Business Directory this week—Reds Dirtwork and Windshield Repair of Plainville. Reds Dirtwork offers a wide range of services including terracing and waterways, excavation, site preparation, grading, pasture clearing, and drainage solutions.
