JUSTICE DENIED, FAITH REFINED. In the shadow of the cross, Jesus faced a gauntlet of illegal trials, a mockery of justice leading to His crucifixion. The Sanhedrin hauled Him in under cover of night, violating their own laws—notrialsaftersunset (John 18:13-24). False witnesses stumbled over lies, yet “He kept silent and did not answer” (Mark 14:61). Though Pilate found “no fault in Him” (John 19:4), Roman law bent to mob pressure as he washed his hands of truth. Herod, too, joined the farce, mocking the King in silence (Luke 23:8-11). These kangaroo courts, steeped in corruption, sentenced the sinless One to die.
