'Here I am, Lord.' Those words have been repeated many times throughout the Bible. We see it associated with Abraham, Jacob, Moses, Samuel, and Isaiah. This week, as we continued our journey through the book of Acts, we saw Ananias say, 'Here I am, Lord,' when called upon by God to go see Saul.

DEALS THAT LAST. In the news, President Trump and his team are working to negotiate better trade deals with other countries. Tariffs, taxes, and terms are all on the table. Each side wants the best outcome, and neither wants to walk away with the short end of the deal. Everyone is looking for a lasting agreement that will benefit their country for years to come.

After facing much opposition to his teaching, Jesus is betrayed by Judas, denied by the disciples, crucified, and dies. Three days later, he rises from the dead and appears to the disciples, confirming that he is King over life and death.

THE REAL VICTORY. Churches were filled with music, color, and celebration a few days ago. It was Resurrection Sunday. People dressed up, smiled wide, and proclaimed, “He is risen!” But now, the lilies are wilting, the plastic eggs are back in the closet, and the moment has passed. Or… has it?
