What is peace to you? And how do you get peace? We tackled that topic this week as Pastor Brian took us through just a couple of the 329 times that peace is mentioned in the Bible. The fact is, we all would like to have peace in our lives, and even though we may strive for it daily, in today’s world it seems to be far off.

Hobart Homemakers FCE

Body
The Hobart Homemakers FCE group met Monday, June 27, 2022, at the Stockton United Methodist Church at 7 p.m. Susan G. opened the meeting with the Flag Salute and the FCE Mission statement. Roll Call was, “What state would you like to visit that you have never been to?” Six members answered roll. The minutes and treasurer’s report from the last meeting were read and approved. Susan G. updated us on the next Heart and Sole Walks coming up in July on the 9th and 16th. The group spent the rest of the meeting discussing our Fair Booth focus and settling on a theme for the booth. The business meeting was adjourned. Ruth Ann presented her program on “Oregon,” where the National FCE Conference will be held later this year. She shared numerous facts about the history of how the state was settled along with Oregon trivia about agricultural products and state facts. We enjoyed a delicious fresh strawberry pie prepared by Ruth Ann. Jayne was the winner of the door prize.
