A small earthquake was recorded last Thursday, October 27, in southern Rooks County, the Kansas Geological Survey reported. The 2.3-magnitude quake was detected at 4:25 p.m.

As of Monday, October 31st, the Stockton Farmers Union Elevator has taken in 132,000 bushels of corn, 281,000 bushels of milo and 25,200 bushes of soybeans. Woodston Coop has taken in 154,000 bushels of corn, 146,000 bushels of milo and 32,000 bushels of soybeans.

The following Stockton Junior High music students have earned a seat to perform at the Northwest District Mini Convention at Hays High school this Saturday, November 5th. The concert will begin at 3:30 p.m.

In Matthew 9:9 we read, “As Jesus passed on from there, He saw a man name Matthew sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, ‘Follow Me.’ So, he arose and followed Him.” Jesus sought out Matthew and asked him to follow Him.

The Hobart Homemakers FCE group met Monday, October 24, 2022, at the Stockton United Methodist Church at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was opened by Susan G. with the Flag Salute and Janie reading the FCE Mission statement. Roll call was, “Name a Plant you ate today?” which was answered by six members.
