Lawrence D. 'Butch' Fetterolf, age 74, of Plainville, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Hays Medical Center in Hays.

Arrangements are pending and will be announced once finalized, along with the inurnment, which will take place in the Stockton City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Plainville Memorial Library or the Stockton Public Library in memory of Butch's love of history. Memorials made payable to the organization may be sent to Keithley Funeral Homes and Crematory-Brock's Chapel, 2509 Vine Hays, KS 67601.

Carol Ann Ellett, 79, of Stockton, passed away on October 1, 2025, at the Rooks County Hospital in Plainville.

She was born on June 15, 1946, to Frank and Agnes (Metheny) McCumber in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was married to Larry Ellett on January 5, 1964, in Divide, Colo. They were married for 62 years.

Carol grew up in Divide, Colo., where her deep roots in the community began early. She proudly served as the Teller County Fair Queen and queen of the Ute Trail Stampede Rodeo, graduating from Woodland Park High School.

He was born June 20, 1942, in Hays, Kansas, the beloved son of Wilbur Lawrence Hartzler and Pauline Carlson (Hartzler-Glendening).

Bobby "Bob" L. Kuhlmann quietly passed from this earth on Monday, September 1, 2025, at 3:30 a.m. His passing was peaceful, following a long season of heartbreak after the loss of his beloved wife, Junietta "June" (Haas) Kuhlmann, on November 1, 2024. Their love spanned more than six decades, and since her departure, Bob's heart never fully mended. He suffered a heart attack in January of this year and had battled illness in the months that followed until he was called home.

William Martin “Bill” Delaney passed from this realm to the next in Anchorage, Alaska on August 27, 2025.

Bill was born on May 12, 1957, the youngest of three children born to Robert L. and Betty Ellen (Earl) Delaney.

Bill grew up in Woodston, Kansas, and graduated from Stockton High School in 1975. He also attended North Central Kansas Technical College in Beloit, where he learned body and frame repair.

Teresa Clementine' Clemmie' (Robben) Montoia, 97, of Norton, passed away September 8, 2025, in Norton.

She was born December 18, 1927, in Norton, to Clemens and Katherine (Wieland) Robben.

Clemmie grew up in Norton and graduated from Norton Community High School in 1947. After graduation, she worked as a bookkeeper for her father at Norton Manufacturing, as well as for Seymore Packing Company and Gamble Robinson Company.

Lorraine Kay (Hance) Newell, 81, of Webster, Kansas, departed this life on May 3, 2025, at Rooks County Health Center.

She was born at home on the family farm in Webster on April 24, 1944, to Raymond and Christine Hance, and graduated from Webster High School in 1962. She married Gary Newell on October 20, 1962, and from this union, they had four daughters. They later divorced.
Lorraine had a love of nature and animals! As a child, she had a pet deer, Judy, whom they fished out of the creek as a fawn, and a pet raccoon named Petey.

Devota “Dee” Irene (Byfield) Nunn, 83, of Park City, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at the Westview of Derby Nursing Home in Derby.   
 
Dee was born on October 28, 1941, in the Old Rock House in rural Webster, Kansas, to Freeman and Violet (Walker) Byfield. She graduated from Stockton High School in 1959. Dee retired from Southwestern Bell and AT&T after more than 20 years of service. She was a member of the Master Gardeners and found joy in both reading and gardening throughout her life.

JoAnn Loree Roy, 89, of Salina, formerly of Stockton, passed away on September 1, 2025, at Pinnacle Park in Salina.

She was born on September 20, 1935, in a two-story farmhouse north of Plainville, to Ellis and Ada Louise (Sites) Wolcott.

JoAnn grew up in Plainville and, at a young age, lost her mother when she passed away in 1938 after the birth of JoAnn’s sister, Janice. From then on, she was lovingly raised by her father and her aunts, Lenna McCune and Leona Bice. She graduated from Plainville High School in 1954.
