County has busy morning session

Starting the Rooks County Commission meeting on Tuesday, March 26th, was a report by commissioner Jake Prockish about the surplus equipment at the Rooks County Golf Course. The golf board would like to put the surplus items in lots and sell them for sealed bids.
ROOKS COUNTY EMPLOYEES, treasurer employee Terri Moore (24 years), emergency management director Butch Post (14 years), and treasurer Kim Northup (18 years) were recognized at a retirement brunch held in their honor for their service to the County on Tuesday, March 26th.

Murchie sworn in as new Rooks County Treasurer

Denise Murchie was sworn in as the new Rooks County Treasurer by Clerk Laura Montgomery on Monday, April 1st. She has stepped into the position and will serve outgoing Treasurer Kim Northup's term, who has retired.
