Swing Into Summer Festival CAR SHOW next weekend!
June 14th and 15th
Stockton Rodders, Inc. will host their 14th annual Swing Into Summer Car Show next Friday, June 14th, and Saturday, June 15th. Here’s the rundown on the two big days of fun!
Friday, June 14th, is Cruise Night! The cars, motorcycles, trucks, and everything else with wheels and an engine will be dragging Main Street from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Food vendors and school groups will also be on the streets, selling their wares and delicious snacks. Bring your lawn chairs early to find that perfect spot, and enjoy the evening by checking out antique cars, cool motorcycles, and trucks while you visit with friends and family and enjoy a few snacks from the many vendors. (And cruisers, please remember to follow the traffic rules. Use your turn signals, stay within the speed limit, watch for pedestrians, etc.)
There will also be a Cruise Night Poker Run with registration at Printer’s Park at 5:00 p.m. The cost is $25.00 for the first hand and $10.00 for additional hands. On Saturday, June 15th, registration of the vehicles for the Car Show will begin at 8:00 a.m. at Stockton City Park with dash plaques and goody bags for the entrants. If you enter your vehicle before Saturday, the donation suggested is $25.00 per vehicle. Please make the checks payable to Stockton Rodders, Inc., 109 North Elm Street, Stockton, Kansas 67669. Enjoy the games, Chicken Bingo, and raffles at the park throughout the day. Great rock ‘n roll music will play as you enjoy strolling under the canopy of shade trees in the park where the cool cars, “rad” motorcycles, and “tuff” trucks will be. And let’s not forget the many vendors selling their unique merchandise and food, another attraction to this fun weekend!
New this year at the Car Show is Bicycle/Tricycle/ Power Wheels Drag Racing for the kids along with the Hot Wheels Drag Racing.
At 3:00 p.m., the awards will be announced for the Cruise Night and the Car Show winners! There’s much to see and do, so plan to attend this special summer treat! Don’t miss out on a single minute!
