Stockton Sophomores win IXL competition!

Body From January 29th to February 23rd classrooms across Kansas participated in IXL's Sunflower State Sprint Competition to see who could answer the most questions correctly. The Stockton High School Sophomore class WON this competition!

Daughter of SHS grad wins Space Force award

Body Lt. Col. Jessica “Jess” (Stewart) Pratt was the recent recipient of the Polaris Award for Connection given to a Guardian in the Space Force who best represents that core Guardian value. She received her reward at the 2024 AFA Warfare Symposium held in Aurora, Colo.

KBI arrests Phoenix man connected to 1982 murder

Body RENO COUNTY – The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) arrested a Phoenix man connected to a cold case homicide that occurred in Hutchinson nearly 42 years ago. The suspect was arrested for his role in the 1982 murder of Michael McKeown.

Rooks County Entrepreneuers

Body Twenty-three teams from Rooks County schools competed this year on Thursday, February 29, at the annual Rooks County Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge at Plainville High School’s Cardinal Gym. The 23 teams were made up of 46 students.
