Say hello to Brooke Wiles, Stockton’s new English teacher

Stockton’s new English teacher is Brooke Wiles, who will be teaching English at the high school level. Brooke hails from a small town in New Hampshire about an hour’s drive from Boston. She gradated high school from Goffstown in 2009, and received her degree in English and secondary education at Keene State with the class of 2014.
BROOKE WILES will be teaching high school English at Stockton. She is ready to meet the students, and get involved in school and community activities.

Hospital Board meets Tuesday

The regular monthly meeting of the Rooks County Health Center board of directors will be held Tuesday, August 25, at 6:00 p.m. in the hospital’s meeting room.

Safety stressed for Labor Day holiday

The Kansas Highway Patrol will join local and state law enforcement agencies during August 20, 2020, to Labor Day, September 7, to help keep Kansas roads safe and decrease the number of impaired motorists on the state’s roadways.

Stockton Fire Department called out twice over the weekend

The Stockton Fire Department was called out on Saturday evening, August 8th to take care of an unattended camp fire at Webster State Lake. Then on the next day, Sunday, August 9th around 3:00 p.m. the Stockton unit was called out for mutual aid by the Woodston Fire Department to help with a round bale that had caught on fire near Woodston on 26 Road.
