Easing of travel restrictions increases traffic at the Rooks County Airport

With all of the travel restrictions that were implemented this past spring and during the summer months because of the COVID-19 pandemic, most entities that rely on consistent travel suffered significant decreases in revenue. The Rooks County Airport (RCP) was no different. Even though the airport does not rely on fuel sales for all of its operating capital, the drop in revenue over the previous year was certainly noticeable.

Sales tax figures for the Stockton City Pool

The one-cent sales tax to pay for the Stockton City Swimming Pool began on January 1st, 2017, with the new pool opening that summer on Tuesday, July 25th. It was figured that the generated tax increase would be between $13,500.00 to $14,500.00 a month, and would more than cover the bond payments for the pool. Since that time the sales tax has been steady in keeping with the numbers to cover the payments. The 2019 monthly average was $13,870.55, with a total of $166,446.55 sales tax generated, and the 2020 monthly average as of July 31st, 2020 is $15,128.37, with a total generated at this time of $105,898.61.

New movies at the Nova starting this weekend!
