Do well at Dog Agility Contest

On Saturday, July 20th, the Creighton family showed Dog Agility at Stockton for the Rooks County Free Fair. Jayana Creighton showed Rocky and received a fourthplace ribbon in Agility I, a third-place ribbon in Agility II, and a second- place ribbon in Agility III.

Wildlife and Parks Commissioners approve new Blue Catfish harvest regulation

Kansas Wildlife and Parks Commissioners approved a new blue catfish harvest regulation for Clinton, El Dorado, Elk City, Glen Elder, John Redmond, and Melvern reservoirs at their June 20 meeting. The new regulation— now in effect— includes a creel limit of 10 blue catfish per day with no more than one fish measuring 30 inches or longer.

Sharks bring home the gold in seven events at Championship Swim Meet

The Stockton Tiger Sharks showed their bite in the Championship Swim Meet at Imperial, Neb., on Saturday, July 13, bringing home seven first-place finishes. Thirty-six swimmers earned a trip to the season finale by placing in the Top 12 in Individual Events or Top 6 in Relays from the four Qualifying Meets held the previous week.

Thirty-four Sharks swimmers earn trip to Championship meet

The Stockton Tiger Sharks Swim Team traveled to Alma, Neb., on Saturday, July 6, to compete in the all-important Qualifying Meet. Thirty- nine Sharks swimmers participated in 91 individual events and 21 relays, bringing home 20 first-place awards in Individual Events and 11 in Relays.

Basart earns Academic All-American honors

Stockton High School graduate Rylan Basart, a sophomore javelin thrower at the University of Nebraska - Kearney, has earned third-team Academic All-American honors as selected by the College Sports Communicatorsn (CSC).
