Bailey Balthazor is pitcher on Championship Team The K-18 Fastpitch Softball Team from Plainville repeated as state champions after winning the tournament held last Saturday and Sunday in Lucas. Stockton’s Bailey Balthazor was a large part of the team’s success, as she pitched all the A-Team games this season, as well as all the tournament games.

The Stockton Tiger Sharks Swim Team competed in their last regular season meet on Saturday, June 22, at WaKeeney before they travel to Alma, Neb., for the Qualifying Meet this Saturday, June 6. Forty-one Shark swimmers competed in 100 individual events and 24 relays, bringing home 28 first-place finishes.

The Stockton Tiger Sharks traveled to Kensington on Saturday, June 15, to compete in their third regular-season meet. They were among just three teams (Stockton, Franklin, Neb., and Phillipsburg) participating in the meet.

Seven members of the Tiger Wrestling squad participated in the Nebraska Blue and Gold Team Camp on June 16-19 in Kearney, Nebr. The camp, which was hosted by the University of Nebraska — Kearney, brought in top wrestlers and clinicians from around the country who offered sessions on technique to the campers.

Changes to postseason formats and championship sites for basketball, football, wrestling and track and field highlight actions approved at the June 12-13 KSHSAA Executive Board Meeting. The postseason formats are set by the KSHSAA Executive Board each year.

The Stockton Tiger Sharks were on the road for the first time this season, traveling to Alma, Nebraska. The meet was to be held in Hoxie, but due to storm damage, it had to be moved to Alma.

The Stockton Tiger Sharks Swim Team began their seventh year of existence by opening their first season meet at home on Saturday morning, June 1, at 9 o’clock sharp, at the City of Stockton Swimming Pool. The Tiger Sharks dominated in their first meet, bringing home 26 firstplace finishes.

Claire Plumer, a 2024 graduate of Stockton High School, was recently selected to play in the annual Twin Valley Conference (TVC)/Northern Plains League (NPL) State Line Volleyball All-Star Game which was held in Nelson, Nebr. on Friday, June 7th.
