Hello, friends! This is the first week of my health column for many of you, so hopefully the rest of my health column veterans of the last nearly four years will bear with me while I introduce myself to others in northwest Kansas.

I don’t know of anyone who is not eager for Spring! Hopefully that big snow of last week was the last gasp of winter. Now we need some good spring rain to come through and get the earth to growing.

Dancing on air and cartwheels with style, Singing with soul and looking divine. This girl who loves music and things bigger than life Is about to turn the magical age of nine! It’s all about makeup, perfume and clothes In a bedroom full of colors and dreams.

I believe in miracles, I truly do. And I believe miracles happen all around us, every day, in many ways.

* “The Sound of Music” first aired on the big screen on March 2nd, 1965. One of my favorite songs, no pun intended, from the movie is “My Favorite Things.” My fifth grade class at Robbins School in Omaha performed it at our Christmas concert. The girls all wore mittens.

* We recently made a quick trip to Texas to watch our 9-year-old granddaughter play basketball in a tournament. We had been wanting to go watch Karsyn play, but it had not worked out during their regular season.

Dear Editor: I was extremely disappointed when I had occasion to read the judgments section of the Stockton Sentinal recently. Four generations of my family have operated Farm Implement & Supply Co., Inc.

* Hello March, let Spring begin! * It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold. When it is summer in the light and winter in the dark.

There are just too many yummy desserts to sample in two weeks, so I simply had to split them up over three weeks. Bear with me as we go back for thirds of “The Best Dessert in Every State.” OHIO: Buckeyes.

* I started my spring cleaning a little earlier this year, but have not made much progress. I cleaned out my closet and only got rid of one shirt.
