A second individual has been charged in connection with the death of a 17-yearold Plainville teen who died on January 12, 2025. Serena Marie Barnhill, 41, of Natoma, was arrested on Tuesday, November 25, following a felony charge— Count 1: Aggravated Endangering a Child, Reckless Situation to a Child Under the Age of 18.

City moves ahead with electric department building addition

The City of Stockton's Electric Department plans to replace its vehicle in 2026, with funds already in the budget for the replacement. But first it needs a building addition to house a larger truck and provide additional storage. During the November 18th regular meeting, the commissioners reviewed the two quotes for the addition and, after a short discussion, approved the TK Construction quote, not to exceed $80,000.00. The money will come out of the depreciation funds.

Charges filed in connection with the death of a Plainville teen

Two felony criminal charges have been filed against a 40-year-old man from Stockton following the death of a 17-yearold from Plainville that occurred on January 12, 2025. Walter Vee Lowry II was taken into custody on Wednesday, November 19, after an arrest warrant was issued in Rooks County District Court on Tuesday, November 18.
