The Plainville City Council meeting on Tuesday, March 3rd, started with the approval of the Consent Agenda, which included the February 17th minutes, the bills paid for $91,256.66, the KDHE Drawdown No. 20 for $26,089.00, the EBH Invoice for $24,721.00, and the APEC estimate for $181,368.00.

Proposition #1 approved by USD 270 voters

This Tuesday, March 3rd, the voters of USD 270 gathered at the polls to decide the fate of two important bond proposals. After the ballots were counted, only one of the two bond proposals for USD 270 had passed!

County talks Neighborhood Revitalization Program

At the Tuesday, February 24th regular Rooks County Commission meeting, commissioners Tim Berland, Jake Prockish, and Tracy Rudman met with county attorney Danielle Muir and economic development director Roger Hrabe about the County's Neighborhood Revitalization Program.

2025 County tax revenues up $414,633.62 from 2024

The Rooks County tax revenue for 2025 has increased in all categories, which are Real Estate, Severed Minerals, Personal Property, State-Assessed Utilities, Oil, and Specials. The largest increase was seen in Real Estate, which rose by $543,156.58, bringing the total to $9,700,596.
