The first order of business for the Stockton City Commission at the Tuesday, November 4th meeting was the approval of the Consent Agenda. Included in the agenda were the Solomon Valley Manor gross payroll for $70,753.94, the Solomon Valley Manor warrants for $90,563.60, the City of Stockton gross payroll for $98,887.94, the City of Stockton warrants for $75,769.11, the City of Stockton warrants for $7,529.83, and the October 21st regular meeting minutes. The commissioners approved the Consent Agenda as presented.

Laura Montgomery, the Rooks County Election Officer, provided the Sentinel with a complete list of candidates and their unofficial vote totals on Election Night.

Commissioners move forward with 2026 employee insurance policy

Julie Yarmer with Freedom Claims and Jeremy McGyer with Blue Cross/ Blue Shield attended the Rooks County Commission meeting on Tuesday, October 28th, to review the 2026 employee insurance policy with the commissioners. Yarmer and McGyer went over the plan with commissioners Tim Berland, Tracy Rudman, and Jake Prockish, and Yarmer will have the paperwork ready for the commissioners in the next few weeks.
