By Katy Kriley Exciting changes are coming to Webster’s Deli and Supermarket, right here in Stockton. The recent pandemic has certainly tossed things up, and that couldn’t be more true for Webster’s Deli.

The Rooks Çounty Commission met on Tuesday, February 16th with commissioners John Ruder and Greg Balthazor present. Commissioner Tim Berland was absent from the meeting.

Mindy M. Wiebke of Palco, is one of more than 1,100 students who completed degrees at Wichita State University in Fall 2020.

If you are looking in this week’s paper for the menus for the school or the Senior Center, you will not find them. We made an attempt to obtain both of these for this week’s paper, but neither was sent to us.

The seventh-grade students of Stockton Junior High School teachers Crystal Dunlap (6/7 ELA and Science) and Laura Moffet (Science and Social Studies) have completed a combined Project Based Learning lesson for their Kansas History class.

After such a cold stretch of weather, it’s hard to believe spring is around the corner and so is severe weather. In an effort to help everyone prepare, the National Weather Service (NWS) is sponsoring the 2021 Kansas Severe Weather Awareness Week March 1st through March 5th, 2021.

The Stockton City Commission had been apprised of leaks in the roof of the Stockton City Hall at earlier meetings, with manager/ clerk Courtney Flower to gather bids to rectify the problem. For many years, the roof has just been patched.
