First Christian Church of Plainville

Body
Matt MacConnell continued to teach Romans 8 this week, beginning with the observation, “We are always at war with the sinful flesh.” In Romans, Paul divides people into two categories: those who let themselves be controlled by their sinful nature and those who follow after the Holy Spirit. All of us would be in the first category if Jesus didn’t offer us a way out. And as we see in Romans 8:8, “That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God.”
