Early Copy needed for next week’s issue!

The Sentinel will be short-staffed next week, so we are asking for early copy for the July 20th edition. All news and ads need to be turned in by this Friday, July 14th, by 5:00 p.m. The paper will still be printed and mailed out at its usual time.

The regular monthly meeting of Crossroads Quilt Guild was held on June 19, 2023, at Stitch and Chatter with 13 members attending. The hostess was Diane Maddy.

A motion was made by Diane Maddy and seconded by Terri Collins to accept the May minutes as read.

A Thank You was read from the Whisman family for Berdena's memorial.

A motion was made by Toni Anderson to approve the Treasurer's Report, given by Diane Maddy. Bertha McGann seconded the motion.  

Sew Days: Plainville had six attending, and no Sew Day was held in Stockton.

The Hobart Homemakers FCE group met Monday, June 26, 2023, at the Stockton Church of the Restoration at 7 p.m. Susan G. opened us with the flag salute and Kelly read the FCE mission. The roll call was 'What is your favorite way to eat blueberries? Eight members answered. The minutes and treasurer's report were read and approved. We received a thank you note from Addie Struckhoff for the scholarship.

Many enjoy a presentation by Game Warden Jake Brooke and Kreed

Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks Game Warden Jake Brooke and his K9 partner, Kreed, entertained a group of 54 people ranging in ages from four months to 90 years of age, on Wednesday, June 14th, at the Stockton Church of Restoration for the conclusion of Vacation Bible School. Brooke described his responsibilities as a game warden for Rooks and Graham Counties to the group and how he enforces wildlife, fishing, and boating safety laws.
