From 15 Years Ago 2011 * Hostile action touched the lives of two Hays soldiers when a Chinook helicopter went down near Combat Outpost Sayed Abad, Afghanistan, on August 6th. All 30 Americans and eight Afghans aboard the helicopter died in the crash.
