Although the actual laying of mains probably will not begin before next week, excavation work has been started in Stockton for natural gas lines, and a large booster station is now being constructed about two miles west of here by the Kansas Pipeline and Gas Company.

* The Rooks County Commissioners had begun fixing the faulty pipes in the courthouse's heating and cooling system. They agreed to move forward with the $3,115.00 project to replace the leaky pipe system, eliminating the need for window air conditioners and saving energy.
