Another Works Progress Administration project was started in Rooks County last Thursday, according to Franklin R. Trinkle, area WPA engineer. It consists of graveling, earthwork, culverts, and a 30-foot bridge on a four-and-three-quarter- mile stretch northeast of Palco. It will employ about 31 men for about six months.

Collecting the most boxtops as part of a moneymaker for Stockton Grade School were Ashlyn Hahn, who collected 607 boxtops; Magnus States, who collected 500 boxtops; and Basil Powers, who collected 712 boxtops. The school received a total of $778.30 for the Accelerated Reading (AR) Fund.
