The menus for the week beginning Monday, December 4, are as follows: Monday—Beef frank, parslied potatoes, asparagus, bread, mandarin oranges. Tuesday—Ham and beans, California blend vegetables, cornbread, cinnamon apples.

The Rooks County Historical Society and Museum in Stockton (921 South Cedar) cordially invites the community to join them in a fun afternoon of poetry reading, refreshments, music, and friends on Sunday, December 10th, at 2:00 p.m.

Hamit Land & Auction, Inc. will hold a real estate auction with contents for GM HOLDINGS LLC (operated as Mott’s Steak & Chop located at 105 South Cedar in Stockton) on Saturday, December 16th. Before the auction, there will be an Open House this Saturday, December 2nd, at 11:00 a.m.

It’s time for the Holiday Mall at Stockton City Hall (115 South Walnut) this Saturday, December 2nd. The doors will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This craft extravaganza is in its eleventh year, with many vendors assembled in one room for people to start or finish their Christmas shopping.

Xander Eugene’s Treasure’s Grand Opening is this Friday, November 24th, at 412 Main Street in Stockton. Store hours are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a ham hock and beans free will donation evening meal during Olde Tyme Christmas.

Malee’s Asian and Thai Food, located at 413 Main Street in Stockton, closed this week and has plans to remained closed until sometime in December. They look forward to seeing their patrons again then!

The regular monthly meeting of the Rooks County Health Center Board of Directors is Tuesday, November 28th, at 6:00 p.m. in the hospital’s meeting room.

There will be a government surplus commodities distribution on Monday, November 27th, for those in the Stockton and Plainville areas. The distribution will be held in Stockton on Monday, November 27th, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the VFW Hall. Please enter through the front door at 314 Main Street.
