What's Happening

The menus for the week beginning Monday, January 15, are as follows: Monday—Meatballs, mashed potatoes, peas and carrots, bread, strawberries and bananas. Tuesday—Ham and beans, California blend vegetables, cornbread, cinnamon apples. Wednesday—Goulash, mixed vegetables, bread, tropical fruit.

With the observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, January 15th, the Stockton Sentinel is asking for early copy and ads to be turned in by Friday, January 12th, for the January 18th issue. Just a reminder, the Sentinel Office will be open, but there is no mail delivery that day.

Due to the snowstorm on Monday, December 8th, the Stockton USD #271 Board of Education monthly meeting was canceled for that evening and re-scheduled for Thursday, January 11th, at 3:30 p.m. in the District Office meeting room.

After being closed for a few months during the holiday season, Malee’s Asian & Thai Food in Stockton (413 Main) will reopen next Monday, January 15th. They look forward to seeing and serving you! (Look for the ad in this week’s edition.) .

Prairie Heritage Auction and Real Estate will host two Open Houses in Stockton on Sunday, January 21st, to showcase a commercial building at 107-109 South Foster from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and the five-bedroom, twobath house, used as a current Airbnb, at 103 North 4th Street from 1:10 p.m.

The Stockton Food Pantry is open next Thursday, January 18th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The Food Pantry is located at 602 Main Street in the alley behind the Main Street Christian Church. The Pantry is discontinuing the fresh produce until further notice.

The Stockton Public Library will be hosting its Storytime Program with stories, crafts and more for all ages on Friday mornings at 10:00 a.m. starting this Friday, January 5th. The program schedule has fun themes lined up almost every Friday from January through the end of April.
