What's Happening

The Sentinel will require early copy for our May 30th issue because of the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 27th. The Sentinel office will be closed for the holiday, but we will print as usual on Wednesday morning, so there will NOT be an early issue, we just need early copy!

The Stockton Food Pantry will have produce next Tuesday, May 28th, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

…A Review Of This Week’s Movie IF In this live-action/animated fantasy comedy, a young girl discovers she can see everyone’s imaginary friends (IFs), so she embarks on a magical adventure to reconnect forgotten IFs with their kids.

The menus for the week beginning Monday, May 20, are as follows: Monday— Smokies, macaroni and cheese, broccoli, applesauce. Tuesday— Ground beef stroganoff, brussel sprouts, bread, gelatin with fruit. Wednesday— Diced barbecued chicken, coleslaw, rice, fruit cobbler.

The Stockton Methodist Church of Restoration (204 North Elm Street) will present their Vacation Bible School “Shipwrecked & Rescued by Jesus” starting Monday, May 20th. The program is for all children, Pre-K through fifth grade, and will be held from 5:00 p.m.

There will be a government surplus commodities distribution on Monday, March 20th, for those in the Stockton and Plainville areas. Please take note that this is a week earlier due to Memorial Day falling on the fourth Friday.

VFW Post 8873 will be hosting a Community Potluck Lunch on Memorial Day, May 27. The Monday event, which is open to the entire community, will run from 11:00 a.m.

Monday—Breakfast pizza, fruit, juice, milk. Tuesday—Cereal, yogurt cup, fruit, juice, milk.

The menus for the week beginning Monday, May 13, are as follows: Monday— Chef salad with ham, club crackers, fruit crisp. Tuesday—Chicken enchilada casserole, beets, tortilla chips, tropical fruit. Wednesday—Goulash, broccoli salad, bread, peaches.
