The Stockton Methodist Church of Restoration (204 North Elm Street) will present their Vacation Bible School “Shipwrecked & Rescued by Jesus” starting Monday, May 20th. The program is for all children, Pre-K through fifth grade, and will be held from 5:00 p.m.

The USD 271 Board of Education will hold a regular meeting on Monday, May 13, beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the District Office.

The deadline to file for state or county office, township board, or precinct committee person is 12:00 noon on Monday, June 3rd. To file and/or get filing papers, please contact the Rooks County Clerk’s Office on the courthouse’s second floor.

Webster’s Plant House at Hrabe Hriver Crossing at 2155 I Terrace in Stockton (located approximately three miles east on Highway 24 and half a mile south; or check out Google Maps for location) is now open!

The menus for the week beginning Monday, May 6, are as follows: Monday— Polish sausage, potatoes o’brien, mixed vegetables, bread, tropical fruit. Tuesday— Meatloaf, scalloped potatoes, broccoli, bread, pears. Wednesday—Shepherd’s pie, Scandanavian vegetables, cookie, peaches.

Monday—Breakfast stick, fruit, juice, milk. Tuesday—Cereal, yogurt, fruit, juice, milk.

The Rooks County Health Center’s annual meeting and board elections are this Friday, May 3rd, in the Cottonwood/ Greenhorn meeting rooms of the Rooks County Health Center (1210 North Washington, Plainville). Before the annual meeting at 6:00 p.m.

Stockton’s Baccalaureate will be at the Nova Theatre on Wednesday, May 8th, at 7:00 p.m. The Stockton High School FCA is the sponsor of this event.
