The regular monthly meeting of the Rooks County Health Center Board of Directors will be held on Tuesday, July 23rd, at 6:00 p.m. in the hospital’s meeting room.

The Stockton Main Street Christian Church (602 Main Street) will host their Vacation Bible School from Wednesday, July 24th through Friday, July 26th. The theme is “Mystery Island, Tracking Down The One True God,” with the sessions held from 5:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. each night for children entering Kindergarten through fifth grade this fall.

The Men In Action (MIA) Retreat is this Saturday, July 20th, at Camp Lakeview at Webster State Lake. This retreat is for all grandfathers, fathers, sons, grandsons, or friends.

It’s time to sign up for Stockton Recreation Youth Fall Sports! The fourth through sixth-grade tackle football deadline is Thursday, August 1st. The deadline for first-through third-grade flag football and fourth-grade not participating in tackle football is Friday, August 9th.

The River Valley Church will give away backpacks and school supplies at the Stockton USD #271 enrollment on Monday, July 29th, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Church is excited to give back to the community through this outreach. Come and see them on enrollment day!

Showing this weekend, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, July 19th, 20th, and 21st, at 7:00 p.m. each evening at the Nova Theatre in Stockton is the movie 'Letter To The American Church,' a film based on the best-selling book by Eric Metaxas.

The Rooks County Historical Society and Museum is proud to announce the Farm Life Photo Contest at the Rooks County Free Fair. The contest provides an opportunity to showcase favorite farm-related photographs from yesterday or years ago. Visitors will be able to view sights, citizens, and events depicting Rooks County’s agricultural experiences. Farm Photo Contest category rules can be found on the Rooks County Free Fair website and at the Rooks County Historical Society. Go to the Fair’s website home page and enter the Forms and Payments location to find the photo contest information. Drop by the Rooks County Historical Society and Museum with questions and contest entries, or call the Historical Society for details. Farm Photo entries need to be brought to the Museum no later than Tuesday, August 6th.
