Body The Stockton VFW Post 8873 and Auxiliary are encouraging everyone to get out and vote on Tuesday, November 8th. Honor a veteran’s service by casting your ballot and then help the veterans with their projects by coming to the Stockton VFW from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Body There will be a government surplus commodities distribution on Monday, October 24th for those in the Stockton and Plainville areas. In Stockton, the distribution will be held on Monday, October 24th from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the VFW Hall.

Body The regular monthly meeting of the Rooks County Health Center Board of Directors will be held on Tuesday, October 25th at 6:00 p.m. in the hospital’s meeting room. The public is encouraged to attend.

Body The menus for the week beginning Monday, October 24, are as follows: Monday—Chicken strips, sweet potato casserole, peas, bread, pineapple. Tuesday—Chili, cinnamon roll, crackers, tropical fruit. Wednesday—Little smokies, baked potato, beets, bread, pears.

Body Week of October 24 Breakfast Monday—Parent/ Teacher Meetings. Tuesday—Pop-Tart, fruit, juice, milk.

Body VFW Post 8873 Monroe-Taylor-Barnes Post resolved at the September meeting to undertake the project of collecting applications for veteran service recognition certificates.

Body Please note that the annual Stockton FFA Goblin’s Glory extravaganza will be held on Thursday, October 20th, in the gyms of Stockton High School. This date is different than what was printed on the school calendar, so make plans to attend this night of spooky fun.
