The Palco Roosters made their mark in the throwing events Tuesday at the Stockton Invitational, highlighted by a pair of individual champions and multiple top finishes..

The Stockton Junior High track teams kicked off their season on Thursday, April 9, at the Lakeside Meet in Downs, turning in a number of strong performances across multiple events and grade levels. The 8th-grade girls led the way for the Tigers, highlighted by several top finishes.

Palco High School’s Trinity Couse turned in a fine performance at the Hoxie Invitational track meet last Friday, April 10th, capturing first place in the javelin for his strong effort.

Stockton High School senior Cheyenne Hoeting wasted no time making her mark on the 2026 track season, breaking her own school record in the 3200-meter run at the Tigers’ season-opening meet in Hoxie last Friday.

The Plainville Cardinals turned in a strong early- season performance at the Hoxie Invitational track meet last Friday, with the boys capturing the team title and the girls finishing third. The Cardinal boys claimed first place with 138 points, outpacing Quinter (117) and Hoxie (106).

The Stockton High School golf team has released an updated schedule for the 2026 season. Competing at the junior varsity level, the Tigers opened their schedule this week in WaKeeney and will continue on the road next Thursday at a tournament hosted by Wheatland/ Grinnell.

The 2026 track and field season gets underway this week for Stockton’s junior high and high school teams, with both squads hitting the road before returning home for a full day of competition.
