Everyone is invited to the Christmas Movie Fundraiser at the historic Nova Theatre in Stockton this Thursday, December 12th, to enjoy the movie “A Christmas Story” this holiday season. There will be two FREE showings of the movie at 2:00 p.m.

The much-anticipated Christmas feature, Santa’s ‘Deer Ones, will appear in next week’s issue of the Sentinel.

Everyone is invited to the Farmers National Bank’s Holiday Open House in Stockton on Monday, December 16th. The event will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with snacks and refreshments served throughout the day.

All Rooks County businesses are welcome to attend an Appreciation Reception and Recognition at a come-and-go event on Monday, December 16th. The Social Hour begins at 6:00 p.m. at the Handle-Bar Tavern & Eatery at 105 East Mill Street in Plainville, with the Recognition at 6:30 p.m.

Just a reminder that the Stockton Methodist Church of Restoration invites everyone to join them during this Advent season with daily Facebook Devotions, Advent lunches, and their Sunday Advent sermon series, “The Christmas Letters.”

It’s time for the Holiday Mall at Stockton City Hall (115 South Walnut) this Saturday, December 7th. The doors will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The family of Bob and Jean Lindsey request a Card Shower in honor of their 70th Wedding Anniversary. Bob and Jean were married on November 6, 1954.

Stockton’s Olde Tyme Christmas will begin this Friday, November 29th, with several stores opening early and offering different specials throughout the day.

The third-grade students of Mrs. Laura Foss and Mr. Scott Bennett at Stockton Grade School are featured in individual ads in this week’s issue. Each student has created a poster representing what they are thankful for this Thanksgiving.
