What's Happening

The menus for the week beginning Monday, November 11, are as follows: Monday—Hamburger patty with lettuce, tomato, and onion, macaroni and cheese, bun, applesauce. Tuesday—Taco salad with lettuce and tomatoes, chips, tropical fruit.

The Stockton VFW Hall will have a meal of a bowl of chili or potato soup, a cinnamon roll, and a pulled pork sandwich for $12.50, while supplies last this Fri., Nov. 8th, to kick off hunting season. The doors will be open from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome! (Look for the ad on Page 10A.

The Stockton Clinic will be closed this Friday, November 8th, due to staffing issues. If you have any emergencies, please go to the Emergency Room (ER) at the Rooks County Health Center (RCH) in Plainville.

The annual Coat Exchange Program is up and running once again on the first floor of the Rooks County Courthouse. Anyone can pick up a coat or donate coats to this worthwhile program.

The Stockton Methodist Church of Restoration’s Annual Soup Supper & Auction is next Wednesday, November 6th. The event will be held in the Church’s Fellowship Hall (204 North Elm) from 5:00 p.m.

Please mark your calendars for the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting for Living Light Boutique and Misty’s Dance Gallery at 320 Main Street in Stockton. The event starts at 4:00 p.m.

The Stockton VFW Post 8873 and Auxiliary are encouraging everyone to get out and vote on Tuesday, November 5th. Honor a veteran’s service by casting your ballot and then help the veterans with their projects by coming to the Stockton VFW from 11:00 a.m.
