Quilt of Valor Ceremony to be held Monday, February 21st

The ladies of the Crossroads Quilt Guild have been working toward their goal to recognize all of the veterans in Rooks County by awarding them with a Quilt of Valor. Many veterans have already received quilts and 10 more will be recognized February 21st in Plainville.

St. Thomas Mardi Gras Dinner set for Sunday, February 27th

The annual St. Thomas Mardi Gras Dinner will be held on Sunday, February 27th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the St. Thomas Parish Center in Stockton. On the menu for the “Freewill Offering” meal is roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, homemade noodles, green beans, cole slaw, rolls and dessert. Meal pickup and delivery by pre-order are available from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. For pre-orders, please call Joanie at 785-205-0034 or Irene at 785-425-8008 by Sunday, February 20th.
