SGS music program next Tuesday

The Stockton Grade School music program will be held next Tuesday, April 26th. The students have been working hard and will present musicals as a class. Most of the students have speaking parts and each musical featuring several songs. Due to the length of the musicals, the evening will be divided up into two concerts. The first concert will start at 5:30 p.m. and will feature, in order of appearance, the Kindergarten class, the fourth grade class, and the second grade classes. Then at 7:00 p.m. the first grade class will begin the second concert, followed by the fifth grade class’ musical with the evening to close with the third grade class’ performance.

Both Commodity Distributions set for Monday, April 25th

There will be a government surplus commodities distribution on Monday, April 25th for those in the Stockton and Plainville areas. In Stockton, the distribution will be held on Monday, April 25th from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the VFW Hall. You are asked to please enter through the front door at 314 Main Street.

The menus for the week beginning Monday, April 25, are as follows: Monday—Chicken strips, hashbrown casserole, winter blend vegetables, bread, applesauce. Tuesday—Ham and beans, spinach salad, cornbread, acini de pepe. Wednesday—Hamburger patty with lettuce, tomato and onion, pea salad, bun, tropical fruit. Thursday—Smothered chicken, mashed potatoes, beets, bread, pineapple. Friday—Meatloaf, scalloped potatoes, seasoned carrots, bread, mandarin oranges.

Wednesday—Beef and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, bread, peaches. Thursday—Barbecued pulled pork, coleslaw, Jello with fruit, bun, birthday cake. Friday—Little smokies, baked potato, California blend vegetables, bread, mixed fruit.

ESA Easter Egg Hunt this Sat., April 16th

The annual Sigma Phi ESA Easter Egg Hunt will be held this Saturday, April 16th. The hunt for children ages 1 to 4 will be held at the Youth Soccer Field located on the west side of the Lower City Park at 1:00 p.m. The hunt for children ages 5 to 10 will be held at the Lower City Park at 1:30 p.m.
