What's Happening

If you want to exercise your right to vote in the 2022 General Election (Tuesday, November 8th) you must be registered to vote in Rooks County by Tuesday, October 18th, or you will not be eligible.

On August 26th, 2021, thirteen young people lost their lives in Afghanistan. A memorial to these brave young people is on display in the window of the United Methodist Thrift Store in Stockton.

The 2022 version of the Fly Kansas Air Tour will once again make a stop at Rooks County Regional Airport (RCP) on Friday, October 7. Anywhere from 30-40 planes will make the morning trip to RCP from their first stop of the morning at Augusta.

The menus for the week beginning Monday, September 26, are as follows: Monday—Chicken strips, hashbrown casserole, Italian blend vegetables, bread, pears. Tuesday— Chili, cinnamon roll, crackers, mandarin oranges.

A bull riding will be held Sept. 24 to honor a Kansas cowboy.

Monday—French toast sticks, applesauce, peaches, juice, milk. Tuesday—Pop-Tart, applesauce, sliced pears, juice, milk.

The regular monthly meeting of the Rooks County Health Center Board of Directors will be held on Tuesday, September 27th at 6:00 p.m. in the hospital’s meeting room. The public is encouraged to attend.

The October 6th Sentinel will include our annual Homecoming Feature, with individual pictures of the Tiger athletes (football, volleyball and cross country), coaching staff, Cheer and Dance, sponsored by local merchants, organizations, and individuals.

The Stockton City Park located on west Highway 24 will once again materialize into the Stockton PUMPKIN PATCH on Saturday, October 1st from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on Sunday, October 2nd from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m.
