It is often said that each of us longs to be someone else. We may desire to be famous. We may desire to be a sports hero. Or, we may wish that we were more attractive, more intelligent, or wealthier. Often, it is these desires that can lead us into sin by trying to be someone we are not. But have you ever considered that our desire to be “someone else” may have its roots in our faith?

Road conditions discussed at commission meeting

Body
ty Commission meeting held on Tuesday, March 2nd, the commissioners gave their weekly reports. During Commissioner Tim Berland’s report, he stated that he had received a lot of calls dealing with road concerns. He noted that since the area has not received much moisture in the past few months, that the road and bridge department might have to go to a Plan B and haul in water to help with the blading of the roads. He had also visited with some landowners who have water to sell to the County, as well as brought up the idea of using teeth blades to work the roads before watering them down. He listed a few high traffic roads that need work, and also said he had talked with the road and bridge foreman about flagging some culverts located on 5 Road. Berland said he had attended the Northwest Kansas Planning and Development meeting last week. The organization went over the budget, and talked about upcoming projects.
