Steven and Linda Melton and Bonita Oliva attended graveside services for Darlene Fuller on Good Friday afternoon at Cedar Cemetery. Darlene was a long-time resident of Cedar and member of the Cedar Christian Church.

Almost all the Civil War Veterans who came to Rooks County were farmers, and a few also operated a business. John Meistrell left his farm within a few years and became one of the pioneer merchants of Plainville, operating a general store for nearly 30 years.

Bob and Nancy Becker were thrilled to have their oldest son, Chris, his wife Brandy, and their daughters: Lauryn, Taelyr and Kamryn, come from Cheney to spend Easter weekend in Stockton. As busy as the granddaughters are now, with jobs in addition to school, it was really special to have all three of them here to visit.

On Friday, March 19, 2021, I was in Salina to meet our tax advisor. The wheat was looking good with some being grazed. On the way home, I visited my brother and sister-inlaw, Dale and Melva Stillwagon at Bennington.
