The 35th Infantry Division Band

THE 35TH INFANTRY DIVISION BAND with the Kansas Army National Guard performed at the Nova Theatre on Wednesday, July 14th. Those that attended the performance were entertained from the minute the talented musicians hit the stage.

Languein Retires from RCH

JANET LANGUEIN of Plainville retired June 1, 2021, from the Rooks County Health Center after working the front desk for the past 15 years, 8 months. She had planned to work until she was 76 years of age but is just shy of that goal.

Purdum Family July 4th

With 15 family members present for the July 4th celebration, breakfast was in shifts starting at 8:00 a.m., as the dining table will seat at the most 8 people at a time. Some of the family even made it to morning church services.

The “Birthday Twins” shown in last week’s photo were Nancy Becker and her cousin, Ron Bachman, giving each other a hug on the occasion of their first birthday, which would have been July 17, 1955.
