Names on the Wall

Body Charles Alexander Brown was born 27 April 1846 in Troy, New York. At some point, his family moved to Missouri (date unknown), and when he was 16, Charles joined the 4th Regiment Missouri State Militia Cavalry in April 1862 at St. Joseph.

Crossroads Quilt Guild

Body The Crossroads Quilt Guild monthly meeting was brought to order on Monday, May 17th at 6:30 p.m. with food provided by Terrii Collins and Jennifer Guffey. Motion made by Stephanie Hart and seconded by Lynda Falley to accept the minutes as printed. Motion passed.

Fire call, but not for a fire

Body A fire call went out over the radio on Thursday morning, June 10th at approximately 9:05 a.m. to the Woodston Fire Department. A second call for mutual aid to the Stockton Fire Department went out at 9:12 a.m. to help with a large spill of anhydrous ammonia east of Woodston.

Macy Odle named to CCCC Spring 2021 Honor Roll

Body Macy Odle of Stockton was named to the Cloud County Community College Spring 2021 Honor Roll. To be named to this honor roll, students must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 hours of college coursework and earn a semester grade point average of 3.6-3.899.
