The Kansas Department of Transportation has started a resurfacing project on 7 miles of I-70 in Thomas County. Project work consists of Project work consists of a mill and overlay in both the eastbound and westbound lanes starting near exit 45 at Levant and ending at exit 53 at Colby.
Local churches have announced their schedule for Holy Week and Easter. Everyone is encouraged to make services a part of your holiday and you are welcomed to any of the following: Stockton Assembly of God—Good Friday Service at 7:00 p.m.; Easter Sunday worship at 10:30 a.m.
LAST WEEK’S WEATHER: Last Sunday there were a few rain clouds in the early morning with the sun coming out later in the day with highs in the upper 60s. Monday, there was a light morning rain and cloudy skies throughout the day with a high in the mid 40s and an accumulation of approximately half an inch.

Jerry and Karen Casey of Plainville, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Brianna Casey, of Maize, to Cody Lee of Wichita. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Patrick and Frances Casey of McCracken, and the late Ervin and Helen Koerner of Ness City.
Woodston United Methodist Church held services on Sunday March 21, 2021. Pastor Michelle Byerly read scripture: Jeremiah 31:31-34. The title of her message was “People of the Covenant: A New Covenant”. Prayers were for Ila Belle Hoar, Jeannie Miller, Serenity Carpenter, Ellen Cunningham, and Bob and Edna McCall. Closing hymn was “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing”.
Larry and Susan Cadoret, from Topeka, came to visit his mother, Betty Cadoret, on Tuesday, March 16, and stayed until Saturday morning, taking care of some “odds and ends” while they were here. Friday night, her daughter, Lana Rothe and Elizabeth Busonic joined them for supper.
