Volunteer service celebrated

On November 16, 2022, AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers serving Rooks County through the Fort Hays State University Foster Grandparent and Senior Companion Programs, were invited to come together for an end-of-year celebration in appreciation of their service. 183 Lanes hosted the event.

Western Plains Painters hold three events

Western Plains Painters (WPP), formerly known as the Palco Art Club, continue with their mission to support, inspire and help enhance the skills of artistic painters. This Fall, the club held three unique events, one in Damar, one in Hays, and one this past weekend in Palco.

Sigma Phi ESA Christmas Luncheon Sun., Dec. 4th

The Annual Sigma Phi ESA Christmas Luncheon will be at Stockton City Hall from 11:00am-1:30pm on Sunday, December 4th. All are welcome! There will be a $12 meal deal, which includes a bowl of homemade soup, bierock, pie or cinnamon roll, and a drink. ESA will also be selling Christmas candy and other treats. They will also be raffling off a Stockton Chamber of Commerce gift certificate, Nova Movie Theatre passes, and a craft Item. Contact an ESA member to purchase raffle tickets. You do not need to be present to win the raffle drawing.
