Body DURING SCHOOL BOARD APPRECIATION MONTH.

Body The Council of the City of Woodston met in the Council Chamber at the City Hall on Monday, January 9th, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. Council members present were Charles O’Neill, Kate Terry, and Thomas Yakish. Bill Dibble arrived at 7:10 p.m.

Body A minor earthquake was detected in Rooks County late Tuesday night, January 24th. The 2.2-magnitude quake was recorded at 11:38 p.m. in southwest Rooks County, the Kansas Geological Survey reported.

Body On January 6, 2023, at 10:12 p.m., Dennis Hutchinson, 76, from Smith Center, was northbound on U.S. Hwy. 183 near mile marker 199 when he struck a deer. The 2014 Ford EcoSport he was driving had considerable damage to the front end but was still drivable.

Body The regular monthly meeting o the Crossroads Quilt Guild was held on Monday, January 16th, 2023, at Stitch and chatter with 19 members present. Hostesses were the officers: Lynda Falley, Toni Anderson, Diane Maddy, and Linda Gardner. Diane Maddy gave the Treasurer’s Report.
