A quiet wedding recently occurred at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Maris when their daughter, Miss Rae became the bride of Mr. E. C. Hageman. The ceremony was performed by Reverend J. F. Dennis.

Lloyd Clifton, 32 years old, was murdered by his father, J. T. Clifton, who fired five times at him with his revolver, three of the shots taking effect. Clifton and his son were living together on a farm in Graham County. At breakfast, the younger man asked to have some eggs cooked.
