Stockton Police Chief Don Jenkins, Jr. informed the Sentinel that a Stockton Grade School student had confessed to creating the bomb threat that took place at the school on May 11, 2006 forcing the evacuation of students, staff and administrators in the elementary and high schools.

AT THE END OF THE 1997 SCHOOL YEAR, Pat Nichols and Ivalee Bennett had been honored at a retirement luncheon by the Stockton Grade School faculty. Pat had served as the school’s librarian for 25 years, and Ivalee Bennett had taught first grade for 26 years.

Wanted: 200 boys and girls to join the Dandelion League. The Civic League is offering each week a prize of 50 cents to the member who digs the greatest number of pounds of dandelions, and a ticket to the picture show to the one who brings in the dandelion with the longest root.

A handwritten bomb threat forced the evacuation of students, staff and adinistrators in the elementary and high schools here in Stockton on Thursday, May 11. The note was found in a girls’ restroom in the grade school.

High class music and readings combined with sparkling humor and miscellaneous numbers are promised us in the concert to be given for the benefit of the Stockton Public Library at the Opera House.

A casting call was out to students from third through eighth grade to be part of Kids On Stage II for the coming summer. Joan Balderston, Maxine Bates and Ruth Phelps were once again setting up a theatre workshop for aspiring actors and actresses at the Nova Theatre for two weeks in June, 2006.
