Body Curtis Dean Deutscher, age 69, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2023, at his home in Ellis, Kansas. He was born March 16, 1954, in Hays, the son of Carl H. and Amy E. (Moore) Deutscher. Curtis attended school in Ellis, graduating in 1973.

Body Malachi Patrick Miller, 12, of Gorham, Kansas, entered eternity Monday, May 1, 2023, at his home after battling a year-long illness. Malachi was born August 23, 2010, at his home, in a hurry to enter this world, as he arrived just minutes after the midwife rolled in.

Body Dennis Eugene DeYoung, age 66, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023, at his home in Victoria. Dennis was born July 11, 1956, to Stanley Calvin and Betty Jean (Osborn) DeYoung in Plainville, Kansas. He married Diane Elizabeth Geist on August 17, 1984, in Hays, Kansas.

Body Phillipsburg resident Eugene D. Ross passed away April 25, 2023, at the Phillips County Hospital in Phillipsburg at the age of 79. He was born Jan. 30, 1944, in Rooks County, the son of Dewey and Eula (Sammons) Ross.

Body It is with very heavy hearts that we share the loss of Gene Leon Theleman. Our Lord called him home on April 21, 2023, doing what he loved. Born to Fred and Leona Theleman of Natoma, on August 29, 1955, in Hays, Kansas, Gene remained a resident of Natoma throughout his life.

Body Barbara Ellen (Brown) West, 73, of Plainville, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023, after a courageous fight with pancreatic cancer. She was born on December 27, 1949, in Natoma, Kansas, to Kenneth and Viola (Baum) Brown. She graduated from Plainville High School in 1968.

Body Earl Ray “Benny” Benedick, Plainville, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at the Rooks County Health Center in Plainville, at the age of 72. He was born on July 21, 1950, to Earl P. and Emma I. (Hrabe) Benedick at the Harwood Home in Stockton. He married Janice K.

Body Robert Milton “Bob” Foster, of Plainville, Kansas, passed away on April 16, 2023, at the Ascension Via Christi Village in Hays, Kansas, at 91. He was born on August 19, 1931, the third oldest of 15 children to Clarence Alfred and Lea Elda (Allen) Foster in Hoxie, Kansas.
