Our beloved grandmother was welcomed into the arms of Jesus in the late evening hours of January 27, after a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer. The story goes that on August 20, 1935, “up on the hill” in Woodston, Kansas, Carol JoAnn Jones was born to a young John E.

Shirley A. (Strecker) Cramer, 79, Hays, died Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at HaysMed.

Deborah S. Williams, Stockton, passed away at the Rooks County Health Center in Plainville on Monday, January 25, 2021, at the age of 69. She was born to Charles and Maxine (Jones) Hopkins on April 19, 1951, in Fort Scott, Kansas. Private family services will be held at a later date.

Richard (Dick) D. Turnbull, age 78, of Salina, passed away January 14, 2021, at Salina Regional Hospital.

Russell “Rusty” Jay McDowell, Plainville, passed away on January 15, 2021 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita at the age of 66. He was born on October 27, 1954 to Garold and Colista (Price) McDowell in Smith Center. He married Linda (Walters) McDowell in Hays on September 18, 1982.

Florence Mae Fahrenbruch, age 73, of Kersey, Colo., passed away at her home on Friday, January 8, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was born in Stockton, Kan. to Francis and Mattie (Shaw) Eshler on February 25, 1947.  

Dolores J. Hackett, age 90, left her earthly home in Grand Forks, N.D. and transitioned to her heavenly home on Friday, January 8, 2021.
