The 2021 General Election for cities/schools in Rooks County was held last Tuesday, November 2nd. A complete list of the results was provided Wednesday morning by Rooks County election officer, Ruthmary Muir.

Rooks County Commissioners John Ruder and Tim Berland met on Tuesday, October 26th for their regular weekly meeting. Commissioner Greg Balthazor was absent from the morning session.

Rooks County has a two-week positivity rate of 32.7% as of Friday, October 29th, 2021. USD 271 Stockton has zero active cases in our district as of Thursday, October 28th, 2021.

For the second time in two years, Developmental Services of Northwest Kansas held its awards ceremony as a virtual event on October 19th. The event was made virtual due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Congratulations to Andrea Dix, Stockton Elementary Science and Math Teacher, who received a $1,000.00 check and plaque as the statewide winner of the 2021 Wendell G. Mohling Foundation Scholarship Award in an assembly at the school on Wednesday, October 27th.
