The Stockton Fire Department was called to 216 North Elm (Methodist Church) early Thursday evening, at 6:12 p.m. for a power pole on fire. If you are in the vicinity, please use extra caution and watch out for responding EMS. More details will be given once they have become available.

Rooks County Commissioners meet with Rooks County EMS Director

At the June 6th Rooks County Commission meeting, the commissioners met with EMS Director Megan Niblock about replacing the water heater in the Plainville ambulance building. Niblock has received one bid and asked if the commissioners would cover the remainder of the cost for a new heater above $500.

Deb Miller retires as Coop General Manager

After 45 years in a career and job she never thought she would have, Deb Miller has retired as Stockton’s Farmers Union Elevator General Manager. When Deb graduated from college in 1978 with a degree in secondary math education, her sights were on a teaching position in the area.
DEB MILLER retired after working at the Stockton Farmers Union Elevator for over 35 years. Her retirement party was held on Friday, June 2nd, with family, friends, farmers and business associates wishing her well.
