The Heartland Community Foundation is thrilled to announce the selection of the 2023-24 Youth Action Council (YAC) members.

At the June 6th Rooks County Commission meeting, the commissioners met with EMS Director Megan Niblock about replacing the water heater in the Plainville ambulance building. Niblock has received one bid and asked if the commissioners would cover the remainder of the cost for a new heater above $500.

During New Business at the Stockton City Commission meeting held on Tuesday, June 6th, the commissioners approved the appointment of Betty Cadoret to the Stockton Housing Authority Board.

After 45 years in a career and job she never thought she would have, Deb Miller has retired as Stockton’s Farmers Union Elevator General Manager. When Deb graduated from college in 1978 with a degree in secondary math education, her sights were on a teaching position in the area.
