Nova Theatre looking for managers

The Nova Theatre Board is looking for a few managers for the facility. Managers sign up once a month and oversee the theatre operations, which includes running the ticket booth and counting the money from the ticket sales and concession stand for that evening. Questions asked about funding of Redbud Village

Commissioner Tim Berland brought up questions that he has been asked about the County’s funding to Redbud Village at the Tuesday, December 27th Rooks County Commission meeting. He had received a call from Solomon Valley Manor Administrator Amanda Atkisson who had asked why the County was funding the cash flow at the facility.

County tax revenues up $990,396.26 from 2021

It comes as no surprise that the biggest increase in the County’s tax revenue for the 2022 year is again in Oil with an increase of $1,054,439.78 for a total of $2,907,562.33. The 2021 total was $1,853,122.55.

Library Storytime Program schedule for the new year

The Stockton Public Library will be hosting its Storytime Program with stories, crafts and more for all ages on Friday mornings at 10:00 a.m. starting this Friday, January 6th. The program schedule has fun themes lined up almost every Friday from January through the end of April.
